Company History
ONGAKUKAN Co.,Ltd. was established in 1985 with its corporate activity mainly aimed at the lease of recording equipment for use in professional recording studios. Later, it expanded its activities to music production (commercial advertisement, MIDI data, etc.) and these activities continue today as Ongakukan's Music Production Division. In 1993, Ongakukan produced "Touch the Music by Casiopea", which was a CD-ROM software that merged video with music. Then, based on technologies used in "Touch the Music", Ongakukan developed "Train Simulator", a train driving simulation game based on real footage. Ongakukan continued to produce Train Simulator games, the latest one being "Train Simulator Keisei/Toei Asakusa/Keikyu Lines" scheduled for release on Octorber 25, 2005, coming to a total of 28 Train Simulators, including foreign lines. Train Simulator started in the PC area, but the series has expanded to include console systems such as the PS2 and PSP, increasing the overall market coverage.
